A former Watford shop could become housing after plans to develop the building were submitted.
Proposals appeared on the Watford Borough Council portal on Tuesday to convert the unit at 194 Queens Road into two self-contained homes.
It would see a single-bed flat and a two-bedroom apartment built in the former shop on the ground floor of the building, with separate street-entrances.
The site was formerly home to Custom Hose & Fittings, a hydraulics and pneumatics supplier who moved out the property in February 2023 and is now based in Redbourn.

The existing facades will be maintained with the current windows providing “good levels of natural light to all habitable rooms”.
Two-flats are already in use on the first-floor which will have a separate entrance at the rear of the building.
The application states that it is within “easy walking distance” to the town centre and in close proximity to Watford Junction station.
