Ricky Gervais has been announced as the “big name comedian” set to perform in Watford.
Watford Palace Theatre teased that a major star was set to perform the venue later this month, in a social media post yesterday (May 7).
It did not let fans down as, today, it revealed that the creator of The Office is the big name and warned that “tickets will sell fast”.
- Ricky Gervais in Costco Watford today to promote vodka brand
- Rickmansworth and Hemel Hempstead locations used in Ricky Gervais' Netflix show After Life
- Man to be sentenced over having meat cleaver and axe in town centre
The two nights at Watford Palace Theatre, on May 28 and May 29, were announced as part of a run of gigs where he will be performing new material.
The theatre’s Palace Pals members will be given priority when buying tickets, which go on sale at 10am tomorrow.
Both shows start at 7pm.
The material being tested out during the small run of shows is titled “Ricky Gervais & Friends” and he is apparently joined by fellow comedians at times during the performance.
It follows the success of his previous special, Armageddon, which won a Golden Globe and was Netflix’s most watched show when it released.
